Renowned for delivering a level of intensity, aggression, and savage emotional resonance almost unheard of among black metal acts in a live setting, Ante-Inferno perform a furious yet achingly beautiful blend of 2nd wave and atmospheric black metal.
Formed in 2017 and hailing from England's North Yorkshire coast, the then 3-piece swiftly garnered a cult following in 2020 with the well-regarded debut full-length, Fane, and the critically celebrated Antediluvian Dreamscapes two years later.
Now with a firmly established 4-member line-up, the band embarked on a wave of live shows across Scandinavia and Central Europe, including appearances at Samhain (2023), Fortalesa Open Air (2024), Fortress (2023/24), Incineration (2024) and Eindhoven Metal Meeting (2024).
Outside of the touring sphere, Ante-Inferno have proven to be a serious force-to-be-reckoned-with in the scene, currently attracting 30k monthly listeners on Spotify, alongside 900k total Spotify streams in 2023, and 600k in 2024.
Ante-Inferno's recently released third full length, Death’s Soliloquy, has met with widespread praise, being rated among the Best Black Metal Albums of 2024 by the likes of Angry Metal Guy, No Clean Singing and Metal Hammer. With 100k+ Spotify streams as of 01/2025, the album weaves the bestial might of traditional black metal with the haunting majesty of the atmospheric sound the act is known for – something that is perfectly encapsulated by the band’s unrelenting and unforgiving stage presence and live performances.
